DataConView holds an account email, a billing record, and the documents you submit for processing — kept only as long as needed to return your results. Your documents are not used to train models and are not sold.
1. Who this covers
This policy covers dataconview.com and the DataConView application behind sign-in. It applies to anyone who visits the site, creates an account, or submits documents for processing. For your account data, DataConView is the controller.
2. What is collected
Account data. Your email address and the authentication records created when you sign in. Passwords are handled by the sign-in provider and are never stored by DataConView.
Billing data. If you subscribe, the payment processor handles the payment and returns a subscription identifier and status. Card numbers are never sent to or stored by DataConView.
Documents and outputs. Files you submit and the converted or extracted results, held against your account so you can retrieve them.
Job metadata. File names, sizes, formats, timestamps and processing status — kept so batches can be tracked and quota accounted.
3. Documents that contain personal data
A document you upload may itself contain personal data about other people. For that data you are the controller and DataConView is a processor acting on your instructions: the data is processed only to perform the conversion or extraction you requested, is not read for any other purpose, is not used to train models, and is deleted on the schedule below or earlier at your request.
4. What is not collected
DataConView does not sell personal data, does not share it with advertisers, and does not use submitted documents or their outputs to train machine learning models or to improve results for other customers.
5. Retention
Submitted documents and outputs are kept so you can retrieve results, and are deleted when you delete them or close your account. Job metadata is kept for quota accounting for the current billing period plus the period needed to resolve disputes. Billing records are retained where tax and accounting law requires it.
6. Processors
A sign-in provider handles authentication and a payment processor handles subscriptions. A transactional email provider delivers account email. Object storage and infrastructure providers host the service and its backups. Each processes data only on instruction.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, for correction, for erasure, for restriction, for a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests are answered within one month, and you can complain to a supervisory authority.
